Black and Grey Tattoos Vs Colour Tattoos
In this post I would like to talk about black and grey tattoos and colour Tattoos.
A lot of Tattoo Artists nowadays, stick to black and grey or colour Tattoos, specialising in either both of them. I do understand their approach and why they stick with one or the other style. However, me personally, I love to do both.
If sometimes I tattoo in black and grey, and sometimes, I tattoo in colour, I can never get bored of it. So I love to do both.
Black and grey and colour tattoos are very different to approach, therefore, pleasant to approach. Black and grey tattoos are very relaxing compared to colour tattoos. Colour tattoos are a little more psychologic demanding, as you have to use your head a bit more, however, I love how versatile colours are in general. The beauty of colour usage, is the amount of tones you can achieve if colour is studied properly.
Colour Tattoos do take a bit longer than black and grey Tattoos, however, it does stands out a lot more. Making a colour tattoo pop is a lot easier to achieve, than making a black and grey tattoo pop. Making a black and grey tattoo pop out it requires a lot of shading knowledge, and understanding different values in grey shading, so drawing really helps with that.
