We are currently working on a full sleeve for Elisha. She had previously made a visit to get a feather on her upper arm. Then years after, she came back with the idea for a full sleeve. She requested a full sleeve of flowers and roses in a realistic style, which I was happy to work with her request. When I have a good request, and a nice client, I can not wish for more, it makes my day flow really calm, and it allows me to work in a good frame of mind. Carl had this idea of a half sleeve with an Angel warrior, I was happy with the request. I have been mentioning to my clients lately that, your attitude will dictate how good your tattoo is. Carl has a really good attitude under his wings, he not once asked me when the tattoo was going to be done, he just let it be. And when you let it be, the tattoo becomes a natural process, so with a natural process, and the customer has faith in the process, I achieve my favourite results. In this post I would like to share the last session we worked on Nikki’s half sleeve. If you look a few post previous to this one, you can see how it looked like last session we did, and on this post you can see how much a difference one session makes. So I have been letting my clients know that “a bit of faith goes a long way” One session will make your tattoo completely transform, specially in realism, which sometimes it demands multiple settings. Working with Nikki was an experience to remember, thank you so much for the faith, and the patience you had in order to come back and giving the opportunity to make this tattoo as good as we could make it happen. Richard has been a top guy to work with, we have similar interests in life and music. We previously worked on his half sleeve, and now we worked on his second. He had a request about an Angel killing the devil, and I was very happy about going ahead with it, as I’m focusing on that sort of style at the moment. When you get a nice client with a good request, it makes me look forward to go to work. Richard is also in to movies like I’m, we always spoken about all the classics from the 80’s, like Robocop, Terminator, Predator, Indiana Jones, all the best ones. What a pleasure working with Mark, he was sure about what he wanted, however at the same time it was a team effort between us both. That’s the best way to get tattooed in my opinion, you have to be clear about what you want, and in the same time the client must open the door for the artist to participate in the process, as us artists, we want the best for our clients. I have literally mentioned to a few clients, that I want the best for them, my intention is to give my best. That’s why I love to have a consultation with a client, and then if my heart is in it, I choose to go ahead. When Mark came in the studio, I was exited about his ideas, and I just knew from meeting him, i would have a lot of fun with this. I did a full sleeve for Rob, and now we are working on the second one. He loves the sea, so we are gonna be working on a under sea full sleeve. Really happy about working with Nikki, I had previously tattooed a portrait for her, and she came back years later for this realistic lion. We have one more session to go, just adding some mains and pushing contrast. She’s agreed to come back in order to achieve a better result. I think that’s what it comes down to, how much care you put to something, and in tattooing, also it’s about how much faith the client has. Clients who easily loose faith in the process, specially approaching a large piece of art, will not achieve the best end result, or not even reach the end result. In business, if you manage to please 90% of your clients you are successful, because the 10% will never be pleased anyway. And the best way is to accept that, because you will live in peace, as your health comes first. I usually try not to speak in depth like this, however, sometimes is good to share business experiences, to inspire and guide other business owners, as we all have to deal with society.

I love to draw before I start working, it warms me up and gets me ready for tattooing. So all sketches I finish are a product of 5-10 minutes spare I find before I start tattooing. I love all different sort of mediums in art, but sketching is one of my favourites for sure, together with oil painting. Sketch is the foundation of all sort of art, is the foundation in tattooing, painting, gaming and many others, so sketching everyday it develops your artistic skill, and it gives you the opportunity to put to a paper ideas that you feel like expressing. Wonder Woman and The Joker Battle

What a request from my man Kam, I nearly passed out when he requested this to me. Sometimes, life gets you by surprise in a very good way, and I can not be more grateful to have had the opportunity to work on this request of Wonder Woman fighting The Joker. As a comic fan as a kid in Brazil, when I did this tattoo, I put thinking out of the occasion, and felt the piece I was doing, think less and feel more, that’s what I have been learning lately, if I’m really passionate about a certain subject, think less and feel more. All comic fans would love to see that happening one day, Wonder Woman fighting The Joker, they are both DC comics characters so I believe that’s possible. We are currently working on Harley Queen fighting Cat Woman, this guy is planning to take me to heaven with these requests, sometimes in life you got to have faith that the right things will come to you, faith is a very strong vibration in life, sometimes things are very close to come to you or to happen to you, but then you loose faith, stop believing, and everything disappears. Keep having the faith, grab hold on to it, and eventually it will come to you.

It was his first tattoo, and what a nice guy to work with, it’s inspiring to meet first timers who are willing to put time to their tattoo. He had an idea which got me exited, he wanted a full sleeve based on Greek mythology. We started with Medusa, which is such a cool character, he was happy to let me express myself artistically, and that’s where I achieve my favourite pieces. Getting tattooed with an natural vibe, relaxed, and letting it be, it allows me to work in peace and trust the end result, as an natural result. Instead of worrying so much about the end result, and the end result not being as natural as it could have been. I’m very exited about carrying on with this sleeve, Poseidon will be next, so keep an eye open for more updates.
