I was lucky to have my customer sending me a picture of her healed Tattoo. She had a phrase underneath, and she had an idea of a deep red rose. I thought the best way to approach it, would be to free hand it. She was happy to go ahead and trusted me about that. She was from China and was studying in Leeds. I had a great experience tattooing her, I love doing roses, I never get bored of doing them. I like to free hand roses, so i can try something new every time. And if the client is open minded, and let me know what style they like, stick with the process, they end up with a Tattoo that they love. I would love to do a tattoo convention in China one day, and I will be sure to see her again in Shanghai. That’s one of the things I love about tattooing, is meeting different interesting people, from different cultures, learning with them, it’s what makes our journey as tattoo artists worthwhile. The Marvel Comics Tattoo Project
Hello everyone, today we are gonna be re-opening for the first time. So I’m very exited, to finally be able to come back after 3 months of pandemic. We are only gonna have 1 client per day and keep it simple, and slowly build it up.
In this post, I would like to mention about a Marvel Comics Sleeve I have planned for this month. I have been tattooing for 13 years, and I always wondered when I was gonna get the opportunity to do a full sleeve of Marvel Comics. Finally, is going to happen. I would not be an artist if it wasn’t for comics. It all started being a kid in Brazil and buying comic books, I used to be inspired by the drawing of Todd Mc Farlane and Alex Ross. All them classic comics are all being translated to movies now, and it hasn’t come at a better time, with all CGI technology it’s possible to translate any classic comic book in to a movie. With this full sleeve, Harry was open to new ideas, and I was sure to suggest to place Stan Lee in the middle of all of them, paying a tribute to the father of super-heroes, not only for his creativity but for inspiring me to be an artist. I can not wait to start on this sleeve, I’m gonna give everything I can, and treat it like it will be my last comic sleeve. Thank you
Fantasy Dragon, and Japanese tattoo half sleeve
Tattooing Andy was an experience to remember. It was his first tattoo, and he was willing to be patience and invest time in to his tattoo. We started with the front of his body, doing a fantasy dragon. As it was quiet a sensitive area, we were sure to only attempt 3 hour sessions at the time. It seemed like a very slow process, however we got there eventually. Andy is an example that, step by step we can get there. A lot of customers are very impatient, and when you say the tattoo mite take 4 sessions, they freak out. However what they don’t understand is that, if you limit your tattoo with time, the artist is limited with what he can do. In my opinion, if you want a really good tattoo, it takes as long as it takes. The clients who never pressured me about their tattoo, usually I do my best pieces. Andy was really easy going with me, that’s why I’m really happy with what we have done so far. Thank you Andy.

With this quarantine, it was the perfect time to work on projects I didn’t have much time to do before. I like traditional painting, as you don’t have the undo button, you have to be more sure about your decisions, which is similar to tattooing. With digital art, we can press the undo button and your mistake is erased, however that’s not very practical to train yourself artistically, as we should try to avoid these mistakes in the first place. With this painting I have gone towards a fantasy woman warrior, she’s coming out of the water, ready for a battle. Good Monday everyone

I tried to approach this digital paint in a realistic approach. I have always been fascinated by the dedication from some athletes. To be on the top of their game, they have to be extremely focused, and dedicated. It’s like a daily ritual for these guys. It’s not in vain that Cristiano Ronaldo is where he is, together with Messi, they have been the best two footballers of the last decade. I’m also a fan of Floyd Mayweather work ethic. He goes to the gym at 2 in the morning. No wonder why, no one can beat him in the ring. Keep an eye for more weekly updates, thank you.
