Lotus Flower Tattoo by Louis

I have been Tattooing Andy for around 5 years now. First we worked on a big dragon on his front, as his first tattoo, he was awesome all the way through, we needed a lot of patience, as the front is quiet sensitive, so we had to do small sessions. However me and Andy got on so well, that those small sessions just flew by. After that, Andy asked me to get his full sleeve tattoo, he requested a full sleeve with a coy and a lotus flower around it. Tattooing Andy is an experience to remember, as we talk about deep stuff, he’s really open minded about anything I say, and that makes me at ease to work with him. Thank you Andy, you are the best.

Realistic Lion Tattoo

Black and grey is a style that I always love to do, however I like to draw black and grey too, in order to understand shadow and being art focused outside of tattooing, it allows you to improve your tattooing. So drawing and painting, it allows you to take your tattoos further than just the reference, you can give more to your clients and something more unique if you are able to draw and paint. I always have fun tattooing lions, it’s always fun as they look so different in their expressions in every image, I’m happy to take realistic requests wit lions ad wild life, thank you for looking.

Really happy about working with Nikki, I had previously tattooed a portrait for her, and she came back years later for this realistic lion. We have one more session to go, just adding some mains and pushing contrast. She’s agreed to come back in order to achieve a better result. I think that’s what it comes down to, how much care you put to something, and in tattooing, also it’s about how much faith the client has. Clients who easily loose faith in the process, specially approaching a large piece of art, will not achieve the best end result, or not even reach the end result. In business, if you manage to please 90% of your clients you are successful, because the 10% will never be pleased anyway. And the best way is to accept that, because you will live in peace, as your health comes first. I usually try not to speak in depth like this, however, sometimes is good to share business experiences, to inspire and guide other business owners, as we all have to deal with society.

We are re-opening on December 4th

Hello folks, thanks for visiting this site. We are finally being able to re-open, our studio is a little private, so we don’t have too many people coming in and out everyday, which is better considering the pandemic. We try to take care of our clients, so we only have one, or two clients per day, each artist, so if you are looking for a private experience, we provide that. After all this pandemic situation, we are so glad we stayed private, as is so much easier to have social distance in a chilled environment. To do our art, we have to work in a good frame of mind, so our studio provides us that, as we are in Leeds city centre, however our studio is in the first floor, and the street is kind of of a back street, so not many people can see us. So that gives us a piece and quiet environment , and piece of mind. We can see another lockdown after this Christmas, some people are gonna go crazy after the lockdown, and then we are gonna be back to like it was before. We know this Christmas will not be like the others, it will be a bit weird, and I’m just gonna probably just work on my paintings this year, as I don’t think is worth the risk. I hope everyone is trying to keep sane, and I will see you guys around. Thanks for reading

Traditional Oil on canvas

I managed to finish this female warrior fantasy traditional oil painting, I hanged it in the wall of our tattoo studio in Leeds City Centre. I still do traditional painting, even in the era of digital painting. Digital painting is very practical and fast, however having the feeling of the paint brush touching the canvas is priceless, it feels really good, so for me with traditional painting, I do it for pleasure, and for myself. Everyday when I go to work to tattoo, I have to listen to my client, and try to deliver their requests, and I have to try to be as precise as possible, which I’m cool about that. So when I paint traditionally I try to erase all that, listen to myself and enjoy myself, not letting being precise take over me, and just relax. I hope I have more time to paint in the future, I could see myself doing this for a long time, hopefully when I’m an old man too. Follow me on Instagram-louissantostattoo

Fantasy Dragon, and Japanese tattoo half sleeve

Tattooing Andy was an experience to remember. It was his first tattoo, and he was willing to be patience and invest time in to his tattoo. We started with the front of his body, doing a fantasy dragon. As it was quiet a sensitive area, we were sure to only attempt 3 hour sessions at the time. It seemed like a very slow process, however we got there eventually. Andy is an example that, step by step we can get there. A lot of customers are very impatient, and when you say the tattoo mite take 4 sessions, they freak out. However what they don’t understand is that, if you limit your tattoo with time, the artist is limited with what he can do. In my opinion, if you want a really good tattoo, it takes as long as it takes. The clients who never pressured me about their tattoo, usually I do my best pieces. Andy was really easy going with me, that’s why I’m really happy with what we have done so far. Thank you Andy.
