Black and Grey Tattoo in Bury

Hello everyone, thanks for visiting my blog. The summer is over; we had a quiet, hot summer, which slowed my paintings and drawings a bit, as when it is a hot day, all you want to do is rest, the energy level decreases a bit, but as winter is approaching, I will have extra energy to focus on my art after I finish my main job is tattooing. I have been enjoying tattooing and drawing Mythology a lot, however, lately I have got the opportunity to do some really nice black and grey tattoos in Bury, so in this blog I would like to talk about 2 Black and Grey tattoos, I was grateful I got the opportunity to do it, and I really enjoy working on a horror portrait tattoo of Chucky of the movie Child’s play, and a surrealism black and grey skull tattoo.

Lets start with the Horror Tattoo piece. I love doing tattoo portraits, I have drawn a lot of faces out of love throughout my career, and drawing faces, it really contributes and enhance the knowledge of tattooing a portrait. I’m not a big fan of horror movies, however, I do like Child’s Play, I remember watching the first one when I was a kid in Brazil, and the story behind is quiet spiritual, as the doll is possessed by an evil spirit, that sort of voodoo practise is not something out of ordinary when you are born in a spiritual country. In Brazil we have an African religion called Candomble, best known as Macumba, if you want to look up, and in many occasions they do practise spiritual possession in human bodies, so that’s why when I first saw Chucky, I was familiar with what I was watching.

Child’s play is not based on a true story, however I believe that it has been cases of possessed dolls in human history. In Africa, they are very spiritual and there are a lot of cases similar to the Child Play movie, believe it or not

This Chucky tattoo, was done in one session, it took around 4 hours, I always ask my clients to come back after doing a realistic tattoo as you never know how its going to heal, realistic tattoos requires a lot of layers, and you have to slowly build up the skin, the skin has a limit, and you try to take it up to the limit, once you take it to the limit is time to stop. It is almost like dealing with a wet paint, you have to wait until it dries, with a tattoo you have to wait until it heals, doing too much tattooing in one area is dangerous for the tattoo healing, nowadays you get a lot of tattooists specially in Bali, tattooing full leg tattoos, sometimes both legs, that’s too much for the client to take, but some people appreciate quantity and not quality.

Portrait Tattoos also requires a lot of skill in drawing the human face, not so much with a Chucky Portrait, as its such a recognisable face, so it’s a little less pressure than tattooing a full on Portrait of someone’s parent.

Hopefully, I will see this Chucky tattoo healed, and be able to go back to it, if I get the opportunity to.

The second black and grey Tattoo I worked on, he was limited with a budget, however, because it was such a cool piece, I tried to help him out, I always try to give more to my client than what they spend, that is in order to make the tattoo the best it can be, I believe if you want to do the best tattoo as possible you have to spend more time than a tattoo artist would spend naturally. Usually Tattoo Artist’s charge exactly  by the hour, I do charge by the hour as well, however, when the tattoo is all done and paid for, and I still can see improve on the tattoo I will spend the extra time necessary to make sure the tattoo reaches its full potential.

When I did this black and grey skull Tattoo in Bury, I studied a little,to be able to deliver something a little more custom. People still want custom tattoos, and it is the way I still approach my work, being able to give something unique to my client is still one of the benefits my clients can have when getting tattooed by me, as I draw a lot, it also helps with the ability to give something unique to my clients.

The skull tattoo was done in 3 hours, his budget was a little lower but that’s what you have to do if you want to build a portfolio with tattoos that you want to do.

Thank you for reading my blog.

Best Tattoos in Bury

In this blog I would like to focus in the best tattoos I have been doing since I have been back in Bury, Greater Manchester. Working back in a public studio is surreal, its like going back to the beginning of my career, and working dealing with walk in requests. I feel like I’m more prepared to be in a public studio, after I have been tattooing for 19, nearly 20 years. You have to make quick decisions, working in a public studio, and being able to deal with last minute requests. I do enjoy the social side of it, you do end up meeting a lot of interesting people, and getting some really good tattoo requests.

The best feeling you can have is when the client comes in and understands what you do as an artist. And their request, it gives me the opportunity to put what I have been learning in drawing to the Tattoo. When I see a good opportunity in a Tattoo request, I plan the Tattoo as much as I can, planning is key to achieve the best tattoo possible I’m about to do. The more you plan a tattoo the better the outcome.

One example of that is a drawing a did on Ruth’s shoulder, I drew it over and over again, until I was fully satisfied with it, and the end result was, I booked a consultation for her to view the art work, and she was happy with it straight way. As I drew the tattoo over and over again, when it came to Tattoo it, it felt like I was in a natural flow, as the repetition of the drawing, contributed to the flow of the Tattoo.

Doing a Tattoo is like any other things you do in life, there is a flow, and the more you get immersed in that flow, the better the outcome of the tattoo. So a client who doubts their tattoo artist is most likely to get them out of the flow. Make sure to ask your questions before the Tattoo starts, and when you start getting tattooed, allow your artist to get in a flow, as the only person who is going to benefit from that flow is you, the client. Trust the process and allow your Tattoo Artist to express them selves in your skin, and in order to do that, study their work before you approach them, only get tattooed by someone if you are a fan of their work.

So in order to achieve the best tattoos in Bury Greater Manchester, there’s a lot of dedication and planning involved. I have recently bought a sketchbook to only focus, study and draw textures, I really want to upgrade my texture understanding, as when I do textures, I have to look at a reference, I want to create textures straight from my mind, so it comes out more natural. I learned that textures comes from a inward creativity that can not be copied, I learned that by studying Victor Portugal’s work, his texture work is amazing, and I wanted to learn more about it, so I started drawing in a sketch book trying to understand his textures, and that’s when I realised that, his textures were impossible to learn as it came from within him. So in order to deliver the best textures when I approach a Tattoo, is to study, practise, and allow that my intuition will create my style of textures.

Dedication is the only thing that will separate you from other artists, dedication is the only thing that will separate you from others in any walk of life, whatever you do, or whatever you are willing to achieve.

So, Thanks for reading my blog, if you lasted until the end, and enjoy the best Tattoos I have done in Greater Manchester so far, Thank you.

How We Work

Tattoo Shop Near Me

Bury Tattoo Shop

In our Tattoo studio in Bury, we give a personal experience to our client, in this blog I would like to focus on how we work, and how we approach Tattooing and our clients.

Back in the day when I started Tattooing, Bury was such a quiet town, I can not believe, how busier its now, a lot has changed since I left, when I left Bury in 2009, there were only 2 Tattoo Studios in Bury. Nowadays, we can see a lot more studios, however, if there are a lot of Tattoo Studios, it does not mean they are doing everything right.

Why get Tattooed in our local Tattoo Studio in Greater Manchester?

– We have 3 artist’s in our studio, and we have been Tattooing for a similar amount of time, so we have a similar philosophy, and attitude towards Tattooing. That’s quiet rare in a Tattoo Studio nowadays. I have worked in previous Tattoo Studios, and all Tattoo Artist’s have such a different approach or perception about Tattooing, as they have started their journey from different times.

– Most Tattoo studios nowadays, have a large room, and they fill the room with as many artist’s as possible, to make as much money as possible, that kills the personal experience between you and your artist, and when Tattoo studios are in it just for the money, the business offered doesn’t come from a genuine place. When getting tattooed in a room full of different artists, your Tattoo Artist can not be fully focused on your tattoo, as someone will always be talking in the room. In our Tattoo studio, we all work in different rooms, so each artist have the freedom and opportunity to be fully immersed in your Tattoo. Having a personal room with your tattoo artist, it can give you a lot more of a personal experience, and I believe it is important for both tattooist and client to have that personal experience, and peace of mind when you want to relax and focus.

–  We all do different styles in the studio, so the client is guided to the artist who is the best at that style they requested, so the client is the one who always wins. We all have different passion for different styles, so we focus on what we passionate about, when you focus and study the style you are passionate about, that’s when you give the best tattoo to your client. And believe me, some Tattoo Artist’s advertise themselves to specialise at a certain style, and they do not study the style they claim to specialise. However I understand not everyone will be able to see that, but I have been in this business for almost 20 years and I can. That’s why when I get tattooed I go to Poland to see Victor Portugal, because, he is a true artist who has his own style and to develop his own unique style, you must draw a lot, and be very dedicated to your craft.

– Another reason to visit our Tattoo Studio in Bury, is that we make the best coffee you could have in a Tattoo Studio. We take our coffee serious in the studio, I mean, we made an investment in a Ninja coffee machine, and we can make coffee straight from the bean. Coffee straight from the bean, it tastes so nice, it is like having a coffee from Costa. So make sure if you are passing by our studio, pop in for your free coffee.

– Last reason why you should visit our Tattoo Studio in Greater Manchester, is that we want the best for our clients, and we do not fool our clients in order to make money, we prefer to turn away a client, if we will have to fool them in order to make a living. You can fool people sometimes, but you cant fool all the people all the time.

Memorial Tattoo in Bury

Small and meaningful Tattoos in Bury

Tattooing is a job that requires people interaction, one to one experiences, and being involved in this client relation, it always brings meaningful experiences that are quite remarkable.

The reason why I chose to write this blog, it’s based on the past few experiences I have been experiencing with clients coming to get tattooed in our studio in Greater Manchester. Being a Tattoo Artist, it makes you realise how different the reasons are, when people get tattooed. Some get tattooed because they love a specific piece of art, or because they want to be reminded about someone who they love.

I would start mentioning about “Claire” she was the daughter of my client “Louise”.

Louise walked in the studio, and I liked her honesty, she said “I would never had a tattoo done, if it wasn’t for my daughter passing away” It was her first time walking in to a Tattoo Studio, and I wanted to giver her the best experience as possible. So I listened to her request, explained the tattoo process. You know when you get a feeling about something, I knew she was going to book in.

She said she was gonna think about it, and asked to look at our work in the studio. I showed Louise our Facebook page, she looked at it on her phone, and spotted our Business year award post, and the post was made the same day as her daughters birthday, and she decided to book an appointment.

Tattooing Louise was quite emotional as in the consultation when I was planning the design with her, she cried when I was doing the design for her. And when I was tattooing her, she was getting emotional too. It must been so difficult to Louise. Her daughter Claire was 51, and she had a rare heart disease, and it was untraceable, so by the time it was found out, it was too late, so she passed no long after.

I’m glad to be able to contribute to Louise’s experience, to have a memorial of her daughter for a lifetime.

Tattoos sometimes have such an important meaning, people go through such unexpected difficult times, and being able to contribute to memorial tattoos, I feel like I’m giving something back for their loss. And I want to do the best work possible, so they can walk away with something that they love.

Thank you Louise, you were great.

Tattoo Studio in Bury

Bury Tattoo Studio

In this blog I would like to share and inform the advantages about getting tattooed in our studio in Bury, Greater Manchester. So sit and relax and enjoy our weekly tattoo blog.

Every tattoo studio in Bury works in a different way, everyone has their philosophy and approach to tattooing. Some places focus more on making money than the actual client experience, so let’s dive in to the advantages about getting tattooed in our tattoo studio in Greater Manchester.

1- We are in the town centre of Bury, which it allows our clients to have access to coffees and shops around Bury, we are walking distances from “The Rock” in Bury which it provides a big choice of restaurants, cinema and shopping in general. Bury has such a vibe of community and it’s a bisecting to visit.

2- In our Greater Manchester Tattoo Studio. Each artist in our studio has a private room for themselves, so each client has a tattoo experience with privacy, when each artist have their own room, also is beneficial for the client as the tattoo artist will open the doors for more concentration. The better your tattoo artist concentrates, the better tattoo you will collect.

3- In our Bury Tattoo Studio, each of our artists have been tattooing for 20 years or more, which it makes a big difference when a tattoo artist have experience, experience in tattooing counts with an artistic background experience, the more experienced the artist is the better artist they are going to be. In order to deal with the human body, experience really counts in tattooing, as years and years of tattooing will make a difference when dealing with the human body.

4- All of our artists can draw and paint, drawing is really important as a tattoo artist, which it gives the client an opportunity to get something unique and personal. Having the ability to draw also enhances the quality and flow of the tattoo, and how the tattoo speaks to the human body.

5- We have traditional tattooing values, which it means respecting the trade, respecting the craft and respecting the clients, we prefer to turn work away that we know that’s not going to last on skin, like Tik Tok trades and temporary fashionable tattoos that are temporary to the skin. A lot of tattoo studios will do those type of work knowing that the tattoo will not be there in 5-10 years, and not bother to let the client know the truth, we prefer to let the client know the truth, we prefer to let the client go, and get the respect of the client in 5-10 years who realised after their tattoo did not last.

Come and have a unique Tattoo experience in our Tattoo Studio in Bury, Greater Manchester.

Half Sleeve Tattoo in Bury

Happy New Year everyone

2025 was a great year, thanks for everyone who came by to get tattooed in Bury. I’m enjoying my life in Manchester, I have learned a lot about art and life in general in 2025 and met some really nice and interesting people in Manchester in the year of 2025. I’m exited for 2026, just being able to be focused on my work and having time to draw and paint my art it’s a blessing, a lot of people say I work a lot, but when you love what you do it doesn’t feel like work. I hope 2026, brings a lot of joy, health and success to everyone who works hard and try to push the boundaries of their work.

In this blog i would like to talk about the experience I had with Ash. Ash first walked in the studio looking for a half sleeve to represent his 2 daughters. He wanted a black and grey half sleeve tattoo, so he was sent in my direction for me to do it. That’s the advantage about getting tattooed by our tattoo studio in Bury, is that every customer gets directed to the best artist based on their request, so the customer always collects the best work possible, so the client always wins.

It’s quiet rare to see this philosophy in a tattoo studio in Manchester, where you get sent to the best artist based on your request, a majority of Tattoo Studios each artist look after themselves, and even take work they never studied or are even interested in.

So I was happy when Ash got sent my way based on his request, as it was his first tattoo, I was happy to explain everything to him, and answer any questions he had. It was a big step for his first tattoo, but I liked how he approached it, as he wanted to do it properly, it gives me hope, when I get a first timer tattoo collector willing to get a piece of art and not cut corners and trust the process.

In our consultation i guessed it would take 2 sessions, it ended up taking 3 sessions, however he was patient and stuck with the process.

As soon as we had our consultation i sensed Ash was a chilled guy, and patient, usually patient people are the ones with the best tattoos, because they are willing to put the time necessary to make their tattoo as good as it can be.

When I get a client getting a full or half sleeve tattoo in Manchester, I want to spend as much time as possible on the tattoo to make sure it’s as good as I can deliver. I believe it comes down to how much you care about what you are doing and with tattooing is no different. When the tattoo looks finished, but you add a bit more time to it, that little touch up session makes such a difference. And I’m grateful for the clients that come back and allow me to add more time in the tattoo, and it make it as I believe it should be done.

While tattooing Ash, we had the same interest in music and Sports, it does lighten the energy when you meet someone new, and they have the same interest as me. Ash is a big football fan like  I’m so it was easy to talk to him, we both support the same football team as well in the Premier league, so football was a good subject to talk about while the tattoo was happening, and we had similar taste in music too, I’m pretty easy going with music, I usually I play music what my clients like, but sometimes some clients have a great taste in music so that really eases the tattoo process. Ash was also in to the supernatural, he actually does sometime quiet brace is to stay in haunted places, what a brave guy, I’m spiritual and definitely interested in the supernatural, but staying over night in a jointed house is just on another level, so respects for you Ash, you are a brave man.

That was the bravery that open the doors for him to have faith in the process, getting tattooed as many sessions as needed to deliver the best tattoo we were capable of, and why not, if it’s going to be in your body for the rest of your life, why not, invest time and as care as possible.

Thank you Ash, you are very welcome in the studio, and I look forward to see you again and tattoo you again.

All the best

Tattoo Academy is not recommended

Tattoo Studio Bury

Tattoo academy is a Scam

I have decided to work on this blog, in order to help and protect parents who don’t know what to do when their kid wants to be a tattoo artist. I have had so many parents approaching me, asking me if I could train their son or daughter to enter the tattoo industry, and i can tell how the parent have no information about how the Tattoo Industry works, and all they want to do is to help their kid to follow their dream. And that’s exactly what Tattoo academy does, and in this blog I’m going to explain how.

I’m the kind of person who believes in doing things properly, that’s why sometimes I have concerns tattooing some clients because not everyone has the same mentality and philosophy as me. I’m grateful for all my clients who have allowed me to spend the time necessary to take the tattoo to the best it could be.

Training someone up to be a tattoo artist is something really serious to do, so serious that not everyone can see that. Training someone to be a tattoo artist is like giving a weapon in the hand of someone who could be responsible or could not be responsible. So giving someone a tattoo machine because they paid a few thousand pounds, is letting anyone who pays the money carry a weapon with them, and that’s dangerous to tattoo collectors.

Training someone to be a Tattoo Artist in a couple of weeks is not realistic. You can not teach a skill full trade like tattooing to someone in a couple of weeks. Tattooing requires a strong artistic background, drawing is so important, and some tattoo academies are informing their students that you don’t have to draw to be a tattoo artist. Having an experience tattooing in a busy studio, everyday, you have to deal with the human body, designs have to flow in the clients body that curves so much, having to make designs flow and fit to someone’s body it requires drawing skills. Dealing with issues during a tattoo process it requires drawing skills, so basically teaching someone to tattoo without drawing skills, is like getting to the top of the mountain without climbing it, and missing a very important foundation in tattooing.

Having to draw before tattooing it takes time and dedication, and it’s the time and dedication that doesn’t work in nowadays philosophy, finding ways to make quick money by skipping steps, the make it happen faster attitude, and the get there cutting corners path, of courses online, it hides the reality of what a career reality really is.

I have been tattooing for 19 years and I’m still developing everyday as an artist, and I’m one of the few tattoo artist who still draw traditionally, I do it for inner fulfilment and skills development, in order to try to give the best for my clients.

Tattoo Academies are run by Tattoo Artists who cares about nothing but money. A lot of Tattoo Studios are not hiring anyone who’s been to a Tattoo academy, and the reason why is because Tattoo Artists who had former apprenticeships by other tattoo artists do understand what it takes to be a professional Tattoo Artist. And that means being in a Tattoo studio everyday, and being around that environment for years and years to come.

Learning from good artists it means earning the respect from good artists, and hanging out with artists you can learn from, it means earning the respect of good artists and that’s not an easy thing to do. They have to see that you are a serious artist too, and to be a serious artist it takes a lot of sacrifice that not everyone is willing or having the courage to do.

My advice to someone wanting to be a Tattoo Artist would be, focus on learning art, drawing and painting, build a good artistic portfolio, and get tattooed by the Tattoo Artist you want to learn from, because when you get tattooed by the Tattoo Artist you look up to, you are getting an amazing piece of art and building a relationship with that artist, and if your art work impresses the Tattoo Artist who you are getting Tattooed by, the tattoo artist who are getting tattooed by will offer you an apprenticeship, because they will not want to see your talent being wasted.

I did train someone, I did it once and I will never do it again, I tried to do it properly but as soon as he picked up a tattoo machine he stopped listening to me, once he got what he wanted, he wasn’t the same person anymore. Money changes people unfortunately, he became greed with money, his clients would spend thousands with him getting full sleeves,  and he would still charge his clients for a t-shirt. If a clients is spending so much money, getting a half sleeve or a full sleeve from you, you give them a t-shirt. His tattooing was still developing and he was charging his clients £100 per hour, way over charging based on what he could do, but unfortunately I gave power to someone who runs before they can walk. I was expecting to respect him when I saw him tattooing, but to be honest even if i tried I couldn’t.

That’s why if any youngster asks me for a Tattoo Apprenticeship is a no from me, because I have too much respect for tattooing and it won’t be easy to find someone who I would be proud of and respect after I gave them a career.

Be Your Tattoo Artist’s Favourite Client

Be Your Tattoo Artists Favourite Client in Manchester

Approaching a Tattoo Artist in Manchester in the right way, and behaving appropriate around them, it will contribute to you getting a better tattoo. In the end of the day, Tattoo Artists also have emotions like you, and sometimes approaching a tattoo artist with the right attitude, your tattoo artist will look forward to see you, and have you on top list of their favourite clients. This will make your tattoo artist work with a better frame of mind, and the outcome of your tattoo will be a lot greater.

Not all Tattoo Artists will admit that, but every Tattoo Artist do have their list of favourite clients, and in this blog I will show you, how to become a client that your Tattoo Artist will look forward to work with, and the does and don’t when walking in to a Tattoo Studio, which it will help you to have a positive experience, which is important when you are marking your body for the rest of your life.

My favourite clients are the ones who don’t ask how long the Tattoo is going to take. And those are the clients who get their tattoo done quicker believe it or not, because they allowed me to work in a good frame of mind, and allowed me to get in a flow. Sometimes when I’m tattooing someone, in the middle of the session they ask, how long is it going to take? And that’s the hardest question you can ask a tattoo artist, and when you ask that question in the middle of the session, it completely takes your Tattoo Artist out of the flow, and it will affect your Tattoo. A good tattoo comes with your Tattoo Artist being in a good frame of mind and in a positive flow.

You want your tattoo artist to take their time, while working with you, sometimes adding 30 minutes to your tattoo it will make a difference. So in order to get a good quality tattoo, your tattoo takes as long as it takes. So not asking your tattoo artist how long the tattoo will take and let it be, your tattoo artist will get in such a natural flow and you will end up with a positive outcome.

Some clients make all about how much the tattoo will cost, even before they have sorted the design with the artist. The more limited you are with money, the more limited your tattoo will be. A Bury Tattoo Artist will never know exactly how long the tattoo will take, so how much the tattoo will cost it will vary a lot. When you get tattooed you are not spending your money, you are investing your money. So every session you have , you are investing in your body, and your tattoo artist works so hard all day to tattoo you and give you a good tattoo, so be appreciative of every session you get, pay for it, and don’t complain about how long is taking or how much it will cost, as if you are way going with your tattoo artist, you will be the one they are going to look after it more.

Sometimes I’m doing someone a quiet large tattoo, and half way through the tattoo, the client says, I’m buying a house, or I’m getting married. It’s like, they start the tattoo, but then they want to do something else, and keep trying to let you know they no longer can carry on having the tattoo done. Your personal financial situation it’s something quite personal, and  there’s no need to share it with your tattoo artist. I got my head tattooed by Victoria Portugal and it’s not finished yet. Moving back to Manchester has hold me back going back to him and getting my Tattoo finished. However, I’m going to go back to him when I can afford to  and when I’m ready for it, and i don’t need to share with him the reasons why I can’t get tattooed by him at the moment. So when you are getting tattooed and things get in the way, like it does, go back to the tattoo artist you chose to get tattooed by when the time is right. As if you start sharing with your tattoo artist that you are struggling to get the tattoo finished, and sharing the reasons why, it will create an atmosphere that you want the tattoo finished but can’t afford to, and I have been in situations like that before, and I can say that it’s not very pleasant, as I my job is to do the best I can when my client is ready, and even if they come back in years to come, it doesn’t matter, I will be there ready to finish the tattoo for them. It’s all about the end result and not the process, the process is a journey the end result is the target.

To be continued…

Realistic Eye Tattoo Manchester

Colour realism Eye Tattoo

Colour realism is one of my favourite style to tattoo. I love the realism look on tattoos. Realism is a new style that is still evolving, and the biggest challenge in a tattoo artist doing a realism tattoo is longevity, you have to really pay attention on contrast, however, at the same time you can not let the contrast take away the realism. That’s a concept that has made me think and re-think about realism a lot.

In realism, you do need your soft areas, and those soft and subtle areas are the areas where longevity comes to be considered. In Oder for the tattoo to last you need contrast. So even in those soft areas, I try to bring what I call a soft contrast in order to make the tattoo last as much as possible.

So I have been tattooing Perry for a while, I previously tattooed his head, we worked on a Chicano full head tattoo. However this time, he asked me for a realistic eye tattoo on his arm pit. I had previously tattooed an armpit in Leeds before, the first time I tattooed an armpit pit was a rose. I was quiet nervous to do it, as I had never tattooed an armpit pit before, however I worried for no reason, as soon as I started, I was happy as the ink went in the skin really easy, so I enjoyed my first experience tattooing an arm pit.

So approaching the second arm pit tattoo, I was more confident knowing the skin is quite soft, therefore easing the tattooing process.

The Tattoo was done in one session, however, as soon as we were finished I booked a touch up session straight way, specially being under the arm pit, the client sweats and you never know how it’s going to heal.

During the process we had fun, as my client was ticklish, so we were laughing a lot in the process. He managed to keep still in the process.

Taking brakes is really important when getting tattooed, specially in awkward areas of the body, and allowing your client to move around while they get tattooed, it can really help.

Thanks for reading my blog, if you would like to discuss your tattoo, please contact me on what’s app on 07803875713, I’m happy to help.

Video Game Tattoo Manchester

Tattoo Work in Manchester

What I have been up to lately

I can only be grateful to be back in Manchester. I’m loving working at Odin’s Eye Tattoo, it’s the studio I needed to be in. When you work with Tattoo Artist’s who have been tattooing just as long as you, in my case 18 years, it feels like everyone is in the same level with the way we see tattooing. I have worked with artist’s, who have been only tattooing for a few years, and the work ethic and philosophy is different. So it is important to surround yourself with artists who believe in what you believe, so you can grow together.

In this post, I would like to share what I have been up to lately. I would like to share this back Tattoo I worked on a female client, the image is from a video-game character. It was a tattoo full of line work, so I had to really take my time on it. When I line a tattoo, I see it like sculpting the line, so a lot of patience is required, my client was so chilled and patient so that made me feel comfortable.

After the first session was done, her back was quiet sore, as expected, so I was sure to book a second touch up session, to be able to see the lines healed, and have the opportunity to touch up, or refill some of the lines, and make sure everything was as best as it could be.

So that video is after the second session was done and healed. I really appreciate having patient clients who allows me to take my time, and go back to the tattoo, I treat a tattoo like a painting, where I go back to it, and push and pull what needs to be adjusted. And seeing the Tattoo healed, it really allows me to see the peace in a different perspective, and that allows me to give more to the client.

The second tattoo in the video, is a football badge, from Tottenham Hotspur FC, they have recently won a trophy after so long. I do like Tottenham Spur,  My client got tattooed by me last year, when I still had my tattoo studio in Whitefield, Manchester. He had tattooed his kid name on him, and mentioned about the Tottenham badge tattoo. He messaged me a few weeks after they won the title, saying that now was the right time to get it done, I believe that, when you want a tattoo, or when you are considering getting tattooed, you will know when the right time comes.

That’s why when I get a client just coming in to the studio unsure about what they want, it is a bit hard work as they don’t have any ideas, but if you are patient, and treat them right, even start talking to them, it allows them to talk about themselves therefore you start getting ideas for their Tattoo. So even knowing the client mite come in the studio with no idea about what they want, just for the fact that they came in the studio, and felt that you cared about what you do, and treat them right, they will be back to see you, when the time is right.
