The circle of life sketch @louissantostattoo

This sketch was an expression of a philosophy of life, as we all know, nothing is forever. So i try to remember this everyday, and make the most of it. It doesn’t scare me that nothing is forever, it just makes me appreciate every moment I’m here. Being grateful for basic things in life that we take for granted, is a good habit to have. I tried to achieve a realism feel to this sketch, I have been getting a few requests for realistic tattoos lately, and I’m happy to look in to those requests, as that’s what I specialise in realism. I love light, and I’m always observing everyday, how light falls in to subjects. Follow me on Instagram @louisantostattoo for more updates. Thank you

Realistic Phoenix Tattoo by Louis

It was such a pleasure working with Adam, he needed a cover-up in his back. When he asked me if it was possible with a Phoenix, I was happy to go ahead. I stencilled most of the designed, and free handed the rest of it. I was happy to do a realistic approach to the tattoo, and Adam was happy to go ahead with a realistic tattoo light to it. He gave me artistic freedom which it helped me along the process. I love doing Phoenixes. I’m currently working on a new one, this time it’s gonna be a leg piece. And I can’t wait to complete and post it on this website. So keep an eye open for mote updates. Take care

The Marvel Comics Tattoo Project

Hello everyone, today we are gonna be re-opening for the first time. So I’m very exited, to finally be able to come back after 3 months of pandemic. We are only gonna have 1 client per day and keep it simple, and slowly build it up.

In this post, I would like to mention about a Marvel Comics Sleeve I have planned for this month. I have been tattooing for 13 years, and I always wondered when I was gonna get the opportunity to do a full sleeve of Marvel Comics. Finally, is going to happen. I would not be an artist if it wasn’t for comics. It all started being a kid in Brazil and buying comic books, I used to be inspired by the drawing of Todd Mc Farlane and Alex Ross. All them classic comics are all being translated to movies now, and it hasn’t come at a better time, with all CGI technology it’s possible to translate any classic comic book in to a movie. With this full sleeve, Harry was open to new ideas, and I was sure to suggest to place Stan Lee in the middle of all of them, paying a tribute to the father of super-heroes, not only for his creativity but for inspiring me to be an artist. I can not wait to start on this sleeve, I’m gonna give everything I can, and treat it like it will be my last comic sleeve. Thank you

Cristiano Ronaldo digital paint @louissantostattoo

I tried to approach this digital paint in a realistic approach. I have always been fascinated by the dedication from some athletes. To be on the top of their game, they have to be extremely focused, and dedicated. It’s like a daily ritual for these guys. It’s not in vain that Cristiano Ronaldo is where he is, together with Messi, they have been the best two footballers of the last decade. I’m also a fan of Floyd Mayweather work ethic. He goes to the gym at 2 in the morning. No wonder why, no one can beat him in the ring. Keep an eye for more weekly updates, thank you.

The Joker, Comic Realist Portrait

Jason’s black and grey full sleeve complete

Jason was one of those dream clients, really easy going and humble. He gave me a first idea and let me roll with new ones, and giving me the opportunity and freedom to express and come out with the best solution possible to his sleeve. We are on to plan his next one.

Phoenix in Colour

It was a pleasure tattooing Adam, what a true gentleman. I was very exited about doing his Phoenix in colour, i usually get requested a lot of black and grey tattoos, which i’m also happy to do it. Tattooing sometimes is a matter of opportunities, and when i get my opportunities to do a nice piece, i embrace it with all my heat, thank you Adam
