How to find the best tattoo artist in Leeds West Yorkshire

True Tattoo Article

This article was made in order to guide Leeds and Yorkshire citizens, to find the best tattoo artist for them, from the client’s own point of view.

I believe everyone looking for a tattoo, should have their own freedom to choose a tattoo artist from their heart and intuition. So I would like to guide you, to recognise red flags, so you don’t fall in to a propaganda that is not true.

Untrue tattoo advertisement- With the rise of number of tattoo artists, tattoo studios are going an extra mile to make you believe they are the best tattoo studio option for you. Choosing or recognising the best tattoo studio in Leeds is very subjective, not all tattoo studios are going to provide or be able to deliver, the best of every request from every client, so you have to go for what it feels right for you, based on healed tattoo work, not online videos and reviews.. Reviews is big  nowadays in all business, and clients feel like by reading a good review, it gives them the confidence to approach a tattoo studio. Tattoo studios and business know that, and they will go an extra mile to leave the best review possible to attract you. The truth is a lot of reviews nowadays are not true, and some are. Reviews over the top, stating the best tattoo artists in the country, over the top reviews like this is not true, specially if the studio haven’t been in business for that long, over the top reviews, higher the rank of a bussiness on google, so that is why they are out there. A true quality tattoo studio will not need to state in a review they are the best tattoo artists, the best tattoo artist in the country is a over the top a subjective topic, and evryone will have a different opinion about it. A tattoo studio will show their quality in their work. A tattoo studio that has 300-500 reviews within a few years in business, is such a red flag, too many reviews too quick, are all paid for reviews, in order to get business, and have higher ranking on google search engines. Find a tattoo studio based on their work, not reviews, reviews anyone can write anything, and a lot of business write their reviews themselves. Do not fall for what you read.

How to find the best tattoo artist in Leeds- With the raise of technology and social media, and number of tattoo artists, nowadays, tattoo artists can do a lot of tricks with the camera. So a lot of tattoos posted online, is not what you see in real life. So the true way you can see how good a tattoo is, is when its healed. That is the true version of a tattoo. When a tattoo is first done, all fresh, and the tattoo artist uses special lightening to show a perfect tattoo online, that is not the true version of the tattoo. It does not matter how good of a tattoo artist is, not all tattoos they do are going to heal perfect, as everyone heals different. So the care a tattoo artist has to see their work healed, that’s why I always ask my clients to come back for touch up sessions, and if they allow me, I can provide a touch up session, to make sure the tattoo is as good as it can be. You also have to stick with your tattoo artist once you make your choice.

Leeds Yorkshire tattoo artists reviews and recommendations – I have spoken about reviews in the first part of this article, so I would like to focus on recommendations in this part. Recommendations by people in person, usually are the best way to look for a tattoo artist, as you are listening to someone face to face, and you have the opportunity to see the work healed, or if the work did not heal well, you have the opportunity to ask the tattoo collector, if the tattoo artists is caring about the touch up session. Some tattoo artists do not want to see the client again once they tattoo them, however, I do not agree with this approach, as everyone has a different type of skin, therefore, not everyone will heal the same, and everyone  has different life styles, health wise and workwise, therefore everyone will heal very different. Recommendations where to find the best tattoo artist in Yorkshire by newspapers and independent companies who try to guide you to the best tattoo studios in Leeds, are usually made by article makers who do not understand much about tattooing, or has no resonance with the tattoo world in general. And sometimes, not often, tattoo studios pay companies, to rate their tattoo studio on top of the list, in order to get business. Your own perception should overcome whatever you read, or other peoples opinions in a paid for article. You are the best reviewer of your own tattoo, do not fall for fake advertisement.

Guide to selecting a skilled tattoo artist in Leeds- A skilled tattoo artist, is a tattoo artist who has a strong foundation background in art, so a tattoo artist with a strong drawing and painting portfolio, will be able to deliver a more artistic and skilled tattoo. A tattoo artist is not true passionate about art, will not do a drawing or a painting in their free time. And I believe the best way to find the right tattoo artist for you is based in their passion about what they do, and if you get tattooed by someone who does not have any of their art work in their studio, it means they are not as passionate, as someone who has a wall filled with their art work. So someone who cares about art in their free time, will deliver a more genuine and passionate tattoo, than a tattoo artist who never draws or paint, who believes money comes before art. Where the truth is, the passion for art, is what draws money to real artists.

Feminine tattoos have become a powerful form of self-expression and personal storytelling for women around the world. They are not just mere decorations; they represent a woman’s journey, beliefs, and her deep connection with nature and her surroundings. As we welcome the year 2024, let’s delve into the world of feminine tattoos, particularly those inspired by flowers and nature, and explore how they have become a canvas for women to express their strength, beauty, and resilience. The art of tattooing has a rich history that spans across various cultures and civilizations. In recent years, there has been a significant shift towards more delicate, intricate designs, with a focus on elements from nature. Flowers, in particular, have always been a popular choice due to their inherent beauty, diversity, and the symbolism they carry. Each flower, from the fragile cherry blossom to the resilient lotus, tells a unique story. They can symbolize new beginnings, growth, and the cycle of life, making them deeply meaningful to those who choose them as tattoos. For many women, flower tattoos are more than just a design choice; they are a reflection of their inner selves. The vibrant colors and intricate details of a floral tattoo can represent a woman’s multifaceted personality, her grace, and her ability to thrive even in challenging conditions. It’s a celebration of her femininity and her connection to the natural world. Nature tattoos extend beyond flowers, encompassing a broader range of elements like leaves, trees, animals, and celestial bodies. These designs often represent a woman’s respect for the environment and her desire to be in harmony with the earth. Trees, for example, can symbolize growth, strength, and stability, reflecting a woman’s grounded nature and her unwavering spirit. Similarly, celestial elements like the sun, moon, and stars can represent guidance, mystery, and the vastness of one’s aspirations and dreams. The placement of these tattoos is as significant as the designs themselves. Some women prefer visible areas like arms, ankles, and necks to proudly display their art. Others choose more discreet locations, making their tattoos a personal and intimate form of expression. The flexibility in the size, style, and placement of these tattoos allows each woman to make her choice a true representation of her individuality and story. In the context of the new year, tattoos can hold an even deeper meaning. As we step into 2024, a new flower or nature-inspired tattoo can symbolize a fresh start, the blooming of new opportunities, and the growth that comes with new experiences. It’s a way for women to commemorate the passing year and welcome the new one with hope and positivity. Feminine tattoos, especially those inspired by flowers and nature, are more than just skin-deep. They are a form of empowerment, a way for women to reclaim their bodies and tell their stories in their own unique way. As we wish each other a Happy New Year 2024, let’s celebrate the beauty, diversity, and personal significance of these tattoos. May this year bring new stories, new beginnings, and new ways to bloom and grow.

Oil Paint Work in Progress

David Beckham, a renowned football icon and fashion figure, has been a significant catalyst in popularizing tattoos in the United Kingdom and beyond. His decision to get a guardian angel tattoo on his back marked a pivotal moment in the cultural acceptance and boom of tattoo artistry, especially among celebrities and public figures. Prior to Beckham’s embrace of tattoos, the art form was often marginalized and associated with subcultures. Tattoos were not typically seen on mainstream celebrities, especially not sports figures who were in the public eye constantly. Beckham, with his global appeal and status as a style icon, changed this perception dramatically. The guardian angel tattoo, unveiled in the early 2000s, wasn’t just a personal statement; it became a fashion statement, symbolizing protection, strength, and personal journey. This tattoo, prominently displayed on his back, received extensive media coverage, sparking interest and curiosity among fans and followers. The impact of Beckham’s choice to get tattooed cannot be overstated. He brought tattooing into the limelight, showcasing it as a form of self-expression and art. This was a stark contrast to previous perceptions of tattoos in the UK, which were often viewed as rebellious or non-conformist. Beckham’s tattoos, which grew in number and complexity over the years, told a story – each piece significant and personal, ranging from the names of his children to symbols reflecting his career and personal beliefs. Beckham’s influence extended far beyond his own skin. Other celebrities, influenced by his style, began to embrace tattoos. Figures from the worlds of sports, music, and film started to sport their own ink, each with their unique designs and meanings. This trend was not limited to male celebrities; female stars also began to embrace tattoo culture, further broadening the appeal and acceptance of tattoos. The tattoo industry in the UK saw a significant boom as a result of this shift in perception. Tattoo studios, once operating on the fringes, became mainstream businesses, with a growing clientele seeking personalized and artistic tattoos. The demand for skilled tattoo artists surged, transforming tattooing from a niche skill into a respected and sought-after profession. Furthermore, Beckham’s influence extended to the fashion and beauty industries. Tattoo-inspired designs began appearing in fashion collections, and temporary tattoos became a trend in beauty circles. The integration of tattoo art in these industries further cemented its status as a mainstream form of art and self-expression. In a broader cultural context, Beckham’s tattoos helped destigmatize the art form, making it more acceptable and appreciated in various social and professional circles. This change was particularly significant in the UK, where tattoos had long been associated with certain stereotypes. Beckham, through his visibility and popularity, played a key role in changing these perceptions. In conclusion, David Beckham‘s decision to get a guardian angel tattoo was more than just a personal choice; it was a cultural milestone. It marked the beginning of a new era in tattoo acceptance and popularity, particularly in the UK. His influence inspired other celebrities to embrace tattoos, thereby contributing to the evolution of tattoo culture from a subcultural phenomenon to a widely accepted form of personal expression and art. The ripple effect of Beckham’s tattoos is a testament to his status as a trendsetter and a cultural icon.

Approaching this tattoo, i made the decision to free hand all of it. The reason why is because, when you free hand, it  gives the artist to follow the human body accordingly. Travelling is really important as a tattoo artist, travelling allows you to open doors, and unlock  your mind to new ideas and artistic perspectives. I found that, its easy to get static and settled in your own tattoo studio, when you are booked for months, and clients are giving you compliments non stop, however, this is a dangerous spot to be, as clients comments are not going to make you improve as an artist. To improve as an artist, it is important to be arround professional artists, who work with art everyday. When you take a brake from your tattoo studio routine, which is not easy. You will come back to your studio as a new artist, with new ideas and perspectives, which it will bring and allow you as an artist to deliver a better tattoo for your client.

Angels, ethereal beings found in various religions and mythologies, are often depicted as messengers of the divine, embodying purity, love, and guidance. In Christianity, angels are seen as God’s servants, with notable figures like Gabriel and Michael taking center stage in biblical narratives. Their roles vary from guardians to warriors, and they are often associated with the divine plan and human affairs. Angel tattoos, a popular choice in body art, symbolize different things for different people. For some, they represent protection and guardianship, echoing the belief in guardian angels who watch over and guide individuals. For others, these tattoos are a tribute to loved ones who have passed away, symbolizing a connection that transcends the physical world. The imagery of an angel can also embody hope, faith, and the triumph of good over evil. The design of angel tattoos can vary greatly. Some choose to depict angels in a traditional, religious sense, with flowing robes, halos, and wings. These designs often carry a sense of serenity and grace. Others may opt for a more modern or abstract representation, focusing on elements like wings or a halo to symbolize the angelic aspect. In some designs, angels are portrayed in a battle stance, representing strength, resilience, and the fight against adversity. The placement of an angel tattoo can also hold significance. A tattoo on the back, with wings spanning across the shoulder blades, can represent freedom and the idea of being guided or lifted by divine forces. Smaller, more discreet angel tattoos might be chosen as a personal reminder of faith and inner strength, often placed in areas that are not always visible to others. Culturally, angel tattoos have been embraced by various groups and individuals. They can be seen as a form of spiritual expression, a way to visually communicate one’s beliefs and values. In the arts, angelic figures have been a source of inspiration for centuries, and this extends into the realm of body art. The depiction of angels in tattoos can also be influenced by cultural interpretations of these celestial beings, with variations seen across different societies. In the realm of psychology, the choice to get an angel tattoo might be analyzed as a manifestation of one’s inner desires and beliefs. It could represent a longing for protection, a connection with a higher power, or a way to express grief and remembrance. The process of choosing and getting a tattoo can also be a form of self-expression and identity formation, with the individual aligning themselves with the qualities they believe angels represent. In conclusion, angels and angel tattoos hold a deep and varied significance across cultures and individuals. These tattoos are more than just aesthetic choices; they are often deeply personal symbols of faith, hope, protection, and remembrance. Whether depicted in traditional religious imagery or through more abstract designs, angel tattoos offer a way for individuals to express their innermost beliefs and values in an artful and meaningful manner.
