Black and Grey Gladiator and Tiger

Black and Grey Tattoo in Leeds

Gladiator Tattoo / Tiger Tattoo

It was Oscar first tattoo, he was such a cool dude, ask me what he wanted, and understood, that once you research for your tattoo artist, it’s good to give a bit of artistic freedom. I really enjoyed the process, it’s awesome to see that young clients are willing to invest in a nice piece of art, as when you get tattooed, you are not spending your money, you are investing your money. And it’s an investment for a lifetime. Click button bellow for Youtube video.Thank you

Portrait Tattoo Leeds

Black and Grey Portrait Tattoo Leeds

My clients Dad is in the navy, and what a nice image to get done as a tattoo. I was really happy when I saw the image, really liked the navy hat and his expression in the photo. Portrait tattoos with a smile are not easy to do, you have to really take the time around the mouth, to make sure it’s as believable as possible. My client was really easy going, and allowed me to work in a good frame of mind, therefore, that contributed to the end result. I’m currently taking requests on tattoo portraits.

Dr Dre, Tupac, and Notorious Big, Portrait, oil on board

One thing I love about this oil painting is that, it’s all done by hand, and when you approach a big oil painting traditionally, that’s when only love, can keep you going. Nowadays with the rise of traditional art, its possible to do a big oil painting within hours, due to the technology digital art provides, all you have to do is press a button and you have saved 3 hours of work. I love digital art too, due to how practical it’s sometimes. However, with traditional art, you can not cut corners, and I feel like it’s more gratifying when you complete a traditional oil painting. I have done a portrait which, I would love to tattoo one day, of the 3 of my favourite artists in rap. DrDre Tupac and Biggie. I started listening to hip-hop since working with Joe, and have been hooked since, it’s a really cool sort of music to listen to, while tattooing, and I believe Dr Dre is behind all them beats we listen to, so that makes him just as much as a legend as Tupac and Biggie, although he’s still alive.

Tiger Digital Painting

Digital tiger painting for tattoo idea. I love sometimes throwing quick ideas, with the evolution of technology, it allows us to save a lot of time, by doing art digitally, and digital art, it allows the artist to save a lot of time, being able to show more ideas to the clients, who are looking for ideas. Our tattoo shop in Leeds we offer ideas to our clients, or for whoever is just browsing through our website looking for an idea.

Creation of wisdom

  • Black and grey traditional drawing, idea for Tattoo. The lady with an old face it means Wisdom. The lion men’s courage, strength. The skull means mortality, and the number 777 it means completion. I love to draw black and grey, it’s a good practise for when you tattoo. And drawing I can build my own way of tattooing, in order to give something new to the client. Our tattoo studio in Leeds City Centre specialise in realism black and grey tattoos.

Indian/ Egyptian God Black and Grey Illustration

Black and grey traditional illustration. Black and grey Egyptian God and Az tech Indian warrior fantasy illustration. I love drawing digitally too, however drawing traditionally you can not cut corners, you have to do every texture by hand, which I think is a great practice for when you tattoo. When you tattoo you have to do every texture by hand, with an iPad you can touch the pen in the iPad, and all the texture appears for you, which sometimes is very practical, however, sometimes I like to go back to foundation, and when you do every texture by hand, in realism or black and grey, you can have a sense of achievement, instead of a sense of skipping steps digitally. I understand, everything changes, and digital art has changed art a lot, there are apps nowadays, where the app does the art for you, you see amazing images online, where there was no drawing from the “artist”, and I don’t mind that. However, out of my artistic experience in my life time, I want to feel like I have worked for something instead of skipping steps.

Black and grey realistic lion

It was a pleasure working with Ken. He planned a full sleeve based on wild life as he loves animals, so he got a lion, elephant, zebra, tiger and many more. It was interesting to see his passion for wild life, I was born in Brazil so I took all this for granted, it wasn’t until I came to England that I realised how different and safer life is over here, when you open your back door in the morning and see a crocodile, I thought it was normal in Brazil, I couldn’t see that happening in England. That’s why I like living over here, so i don’t have to deal with crocodiles in my back garden.

Archangel Michael black and grey

I have been doing a lot of black and grey tattoos lately, tattooing and drawing, having a lot of fun with it. I tried to do my own version of Archangel Michael, this could be a start of an idea for a full sleeve of Angels, I will get to draw some more, it would be fun to being some of them to life in the drawing. A black and grey sleeve of angels would look pretty cool, I have not done one for a while, it’s on the waiting list.
